Another player on the Vikings who has had a rough season is rookie right guard Ed Ingram. Being a rookie and starting along the offensive line is no easy task, and it has certainly been a struggle for the big man out of LSU.

It was looking like it may be another rough day for Ingram against the Jets, as New York’s interior defensive line duo of Sheldon Rankins and Quinnen Williams is one of the best in all of football.

While Ingram’s performance in Week 13 resulted in a so-so PFF grade of 68.9, there have been many games where he has faired much worse. Against such a stellar duo, it was a nice sign that Ingram held his own.

If Ingram can continue to improve each week, as he has recently, the Vikings’ offensive line could play an important role at a crucial stretch in the season with playoff implications looming over the team. If Greg Joseph can get on track, maybe Ingram can join him.
