4 problems the Minnesota Vikings must fix for playoff success in 2022

Holding onto leads
Life as a Minnesota Vikings fan is never smooth sailing. It’s been a constant stream of misery throughout franchise history for its long-suffering fanbase and 2022 has also brought its fair share of heart-stopping moments despite their 10-2 record.
Aside from their hammerings against the Philadephia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota has held commanding leads in almost every other game. Yet somehow, these slip away more often than not before the team pulls themselves together in the closing stages.
The Vikings were involved in plenty of close games last season that they were on the wrong end of. Thankfully, situational football is no longer a concern thanks to Kevin O’Connell’s incredible impact in a relatively short space of time.
This all starts with clock control. Giving running back Dalvin Cook all he can handle makes things easier and it’s also vital that quarterback Kirk Cousins keeps the chains moving with a killer instinct that’s been lacking at times throughout his career.
There will be no quarter given during the postseason. Therefore, when the Vikings have their opponent on the ropes, it’s vital they go for the kill and leave no doubt.
Otherwise, more heartbreak could be in this team’s immediate future.
