St. Brown will catch at least 10 passes

It was almost one year ago when Amon-Ra St. Brown caught the game-winning touchdown pass against the Vikings. At the time, it seemed like a fluky performance for a receiver who caught just 39 passes for 352 yards over his first 11 career games.

But that performance, where St. Brown caught 10 passes for 86 yards and his first career touchdown, served as a launchpad to help the USC product become one of the best possession receivers in the NFL.

Since torching the Vikings on that day, St. Brown has caught 127 passes for 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns. St. Brown has also been utilized in other ways, carrying the ball 13 times for 144 yards and a touchdown.

These numbers have to make St. Brown the top priority for Ed Donatell’s defense, but it could be a moot point considering how many weapons Detroit has. D.J. Chark caught five passes for 98 yards in last week’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the speed of Jameson Williams could open things up underneath – even if he continues to play on a limited snap count.

A banged-up secondary also points to a big day for Brown, who could make the Vikings pay again if they can’t find a way to stop him.
