The Minnesota Vikings have an opportunity to lock down the NFC North and ensure a playoff spot against the Lions and here is why they will win.

A matchup between the 10-2 Minnesota Vikings and the 5-7 Detroit Lions might not sound like it would be super competitive but there are plenty of reasons to believe this divisional contest will be hotly contested.

The Lions are coming off a 40-14 whooping of the Jaguars and will play host to Minnesota, giving them a few advantages heading into the game. There must be a good reason betting lines are favoring Detroit at the moment.

For the moment, the Lions are two-point favorites over Minnesota but there are plenty of reasons to believe that the Vikings will be able to hit the road on Sunday, Dec. 11 and get their 11th win of the season.

Although this could end up being a bit of a shootout, it is surprising that the Minnesota Vikings aren’t favored despite being the road team and having a chance to become division champions this week,
