The Lions surrender a lot of touchdowns through the air.

Detroit allows the eighth-most passing touchdowns this season and has the eighth-fewest sacks. Unlike last week, attacking through the air will be the best move for the Minnesota Vikings offense.

This is a bad sign for a Detroit team going up against Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, T.J. Hockenson, and the rest of the dynamic pass-catchers on the Vikings’ roster. There are a lot of weapons to be accounted for.

Playing in a dome and not facing constant pressure should make Kirk Cousins feel right at home. As long as he has time, the Vikings quarterback should be able to pick apart a Lions secondary that could struggle to match up against Minnesota’s weapons.

Kirk Cousins only has 18 touchdowns on the season so far, but don’t be surprised if he gets two or three against the Lions. Minnesota should be focused on passing, especially in the red zone if they want to attack Detroit’s weaknesses.
