The Vikings offensive line struggled on Sunday, with the main culprits being Ed Ingram and backup Center Austin Schlottman. Ingram and Schlottman combined for nine of the teams 16 allowed pressures, a very alarming amount for the interior.

With two backups playing along the line with Schlottman and Blake Brandel, struggles were expected for Minnesota, but maybe not at the rate that they did.

The lone bright spot along the line was right tackle Brian O’Neill, who has long been a bright spot for Minnesota’s offensive line as they have struggled in recent years. O’Neill was the only lineman to grade above a 55 on PFF this past weekend, as he had a solid 74 grade.

So while the line struggled, and people are certainly giving them their fair share of blame, it needs to be seen that O’Neill did the best he could to make the line look serviceable on such a rough day.
