How could the Minnesota Vikings fare over their final four games after a disappointing loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 14?

It was a poor performance on defense for the Minnesota Vikings last time out as they fell to only their third defeat of the campaign. Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions gashed Ed Donatell’s unit almost from start to finish, meaning they’ll have to wait another week at least before officially securing the NFC North crown.

Whether that’s the best Minnesota can hope for in its current state is the big question. This does not look like a team with the sort of balance to make a deep postseason run, so some significant adjustments are needed in a short space of time before the knockout action commences.

There is no denying the Vikings have talent, especially on offense. But unless this becomes a more collective effort in all three phases, dreams of an elusive first Super Bowl will be quashed almost immediately against playoff-caliber opposition.

With that being said, we predicted how Minnesota could fare over the next four games after the team’s horrible loss versus the Lions.

Week 15

Minnesota Vikings vs. Indianapolis Colts

This is a pretty good get-right game for the Vikings, providing head coach Kevin O’Connell galvanizes this group before a Saturday afternoon contest. The Indianapolis Colts are going nowhere fast in 2022, but there are some threats on their roster that can do damage if not afforded enough respect.

Prediction: Win (11-3)

Being on home soil once again will also assist Minnesota in pursuit of getting themselves back in the win column. This should secure the divisional crown for good measure, which represents an outstanding accomplishment in O’Connell’s first year, whichever way one looks at it.
