5 Bold Predictions: Minnesota Vikings vs. Indianapolis Colts – Week 15
By Chris Schad
Buckner and Stewart will combine for 10 quarterback pressures
When the Vikings last saw DeForest Buckner, he was tossing Dru Samia like a rag doll. While Minnesota has improved on the interior in recent years, there’s a good chance the Colts could have their way in the trenches again on Saturday.
Garrett Bradbury is listed as questionable as he works his way back from an ankle injury. While he was considered a game-time decision and ultimately didn’t play against Detroit, he’s been limited in practice this week with a back injury. Even if he plays, two ailments aren’t a great sign for his effectiveness. The Vikings also have the leader in quarterback pressures allowed in Ed Ingram, although he played well in Minnesota’s loss to Detroit.
If Buckner matches up against either of them, it could lead to Kirk Cousins’ kryptonite – interior pressure. With Grover Stewart mixing in as an effective tag team partner, the Colts could be able to get after Cousins and stop the run, forcing the Vikings to be one-dimensional.
