When it rains, it can pour

If something could go wrong for the Minnesota Vikings, it did. Their mistakes and mishaps led to the team falling behind big in the first half and really making the game much more of a challenge than it should have been.

Minnesota gave up a big kickoff return, threw a pick-six, had a punt blocked for a touchdown, Dalvin Cook fumbled, Kirk Cousins tripped over his lineman’s foot again, and more made the first half a comedy of errors.

0-33 at halftime is a situation where some teams might want to pull their star players and rest them for the remaining games. Not Minnesota…even players who made mistakes attempted to redeem themselves and cut into Indianapolis’ giant lead.

The Minnesota Vikings have had some amazing comebacks but overcoming possibly the worst half of football in team history would be a massive challenge. This season the purple and gold have been good about getting takeaways and protecting the ball, but this week was a struggle, especially in the first half.
