An exclamation point on his season

It seems strange that a 12-catch game for 123 yards and a touchdown is a quiet day of football for any receiver but after his big game last week against the Lions, Justin Jefferson still made a big impact.

On the season. Jefferson has racked up 1,623 receiving yards, closing in on the franchise single-season receiving record held by  Randy Moss at 1,632 yards and Calvin Johnson’s single-season NFL record of 1,964 yards in a season.

f he can break Calvin johnson’s record, expect Justin Jefferson’s name to come up often when talking about potential MVP candidates  Of course, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts will be the favorite for the award, but it would be nice to see Jefferson included.

The question of when the Minnesota Vikings will address a contract extension will Jefferson will be an interesting topic to follow. There is no rush since he has another year on his rookie deal with a fifth-year option but working out a long-term deal could be a great sign of good faith from the team.
