7 biggest takeaways from the Vikings win vs. Colts in Week 15

Quietly marching to 1K
Outside of a handful of big plays this year, Dalvin Cook has struggled to run the ball as a featured running back for the Minnesota Vikings. Despite that, his yardage has been adding up and he’s getting close to 1,000 yards.
Cook’s 17 carries for 95 yards were helped big-time by a 40-yard run that helped to really increase his average. Recent games against the Lions and Patriots saw him average less than two yards per carry, but thankfully he has had better games and some big plays to help out his numbers.
Heading into Week 16, Dalvin Cook is sitting at 950 rushing yards with 4.5 yards per carry. He will have a real chance to pass 1K yards against the New York Giants in their next contest on Christmas Eve.
The Minnesota Vikings can’t seem to balance their pass and run game but sometimes fans need to remember that Cook is playing with an injured shoulder and is wearing a harness. That may be impacting his play or causing pain.
