5 most disappointing Vikings in the comeback win vs. the Colts

T.J. Hockenson – TE
The honeymoon is over for T.J. Hockenson and the Vikings. Don’t get me wrong, the guy is still playing very well, and I’m very happy to have him be a part of this team, but it just seemed that when the ball went Hockenson’s way on Saturday, bad things happened.
We’ve seen Hockenson struggle to secure the football in some recent games, and again, he dropped one that looked to be an easy reception. If he wasn’t dropping the ball, the pass was usually coming down incomplete, as he just hauled in three of nine targets on the day.
Hockenson also seemed to have trouble with his footing for the majority of the game. He slipped and fell to the turf on what would’ve been an easy first-down conversion. This came in the first half when the Vikings were struggling to get anything going, and he was a part of why the score steamrolled to 33-0.
Hockenson did have a little penance on the day when he caught the two-point conversion to tie the game at 36, but his overall performance was subpar. There’s no doubt Hockenson will bounce back from his poor day, as he’s easily Kirk Cousins’ favorite target after Justin Jefferson.
