The Giants’ pass protection is weak

Believe it or not, there are offensive lines out there that struggle as much as the one the Minnesota Vikings use every week. One of those teams struggling to keep their quarterback upright is the Giants.

They have had their QB taken down 44 times this year, three more times than Minnesota has been sacked, and the fifth most in the league. The Vikings would be smart to attack Daniel Jones at a high rate, even throwing in blitzes.

Both Danielle Hunter and Za’Darius Smith could have huge impacts on the game if they can break through the Giants’ line and rattle Daniel Jones. Jones has been known to be willing to scramble, leading him into a solid-tackling Minnesota defense.

One of the best things the Vikings could do is establish an early lead and force Jones to pass often. Then they can get pressure in obvious passing situations. New York can be a one-dimensional team at times and that would lean right into a Vikings’ strength.
