The Giants have a terrible run defense

A lot of talk about running backs in this game will center around Saquon Barkley but there is a good chance that Dalvin Cook could have one of his best rushing games of the season for the Minnesota Vikings this week.

New York is giving up 5.4 yards per carry while Dalvin Cook is coming off a game against the Colts where he ran for 5.6 yards per carry. This gives the potential for some big runs on Saturday afternoon.

Cook has only rushed for 100 yards twice this season but Week 16 could be his third. He has accumulated 1,045 rushing yards on the year, but that’s not a mind-blowing amount for a featured back this late in a season, he has provided big plays and enough threat to keep opposing defenses honest.

Expect a healthy dose of Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison in Week 16 while using them to set up play-action passes for big chunks of yardage. They should be able to keep the Giants guessing if they can run effectively.
