Can the Minnesota Vikings give fans a Merry Christmas by defeating the New York Giants on Saturday?

The Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants will meet on Christmas Eve in a matchup of two teams that have overachieved their preseason expectations.

The Vikings were 8-9 one year ago and missed the playoffs for the second straight season. Not even the most optimistic Vikings fan would believe that Kevin O’Connell has made this much of a difference, but coming into Saturday’s game, the Vikings are 11-3 and clinched their first NFC North title since 2017 with a come-from-behind win over the Indianapolis Colts.

The Giants are an even bigger surprise in their first season under Brian Daboll. New York has just one season with six or more wins since 2014. Daboll has helped flip the script as the Giants are 8-5-1 and can clinch their first playoff spot since 2016 with a win over the Vikings and two losses from the Washington Commanders, Seattle Seahawks, and Detroit Lions.

Mix in a raucous atmosphere caused by a “White Out” at U.S. Bank Stadium, and this game could get unpredictable. But in this article, we’ll give you five bold predictions for when the Giants meet up with the Vikings.
