The Vikings’ offensive as a whole struggled against the Giants, but the interior was awful. Ed Ingram is on this disappointing list about every week and once again made his way on it. He had his hands full all day with Dexter Lawrence and Leonard Williams on top of him and those two proved to be the superior talents.

Austin Schlottmann was no better and probably even worse. Kirk Cousins took 11 hits on the day and the majority of those came right up the middle. Luckily for Minnesota, the man appears to be made of rubber and absorbed the hits like they are nothing and bounced right back up.

Dalvin Cook also had plenty of runs that were stuffed up the middle as the push from the big New York defenders was too much for the Ingram and Schlottmann tandem to handle.

Hopefully, the Vikings get Garrett Bradbury back next week against the Green Bay Packers, and that should cut down the number of hits Cousins sees come from the interior. Ingram has been up and down lately, so maybe he’s due for a good game too. Whatever happens, the protection can’t get any worse than it was on Christmas Eve.
