After appearing in just four games in 2021, the NFL career of former Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson appears to be all but over.

Peterson didn’t end up signing with a team in 2022, but that didn’t mean his name was absent from the news headlines. However, the former Vikings running back was in the headlines last year for his participation in an entirely different sport.

Peterson wound up taking part in a five-round exhibition boxing match against fellow former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell.

Given the countless times people have shared stories about Peterson’s legendary handshake and the power he displayed out on the field during his NFL career, some assumed the former Minnesota running back would likely come out as the winner in the boxing match against Bell.

However, that’s not how things went for Peterson, as Bell won the match after knocking out the former NFL MVP with a right-hand punch in the fifth round.
