Minnesota would need a win and a San Francisco loss in order to move into the second seed. Then, Seattle would need a win and a loss by Green Bay to get the seventh and final playoff spot in the NFC.

The Seahawks are the one team among the four possible opponents that the Vikings haven’t had the honor of facing during the regular season. They are a tough squad and might match up poorly against Minnesota.

Geno Smith has enjoyed a career resurgence this season while the team got a lot of support from their young playmakers despite trading away high-profile quarterback Russell Wilson this offseason.

It would be pretty sweet for those who remember past playoff moments against the Seahawks for the Vikings to be able to redeem themselves a bit. However, this is one of the less likely scenarios.
