The Minnesota Vikings are headed for the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs but the team may have learned some things in Week 18 against the Chicago Bears.

The regular season is over and the Minnesota Vikings traveled to Soldier Field in Illinois for their season closer to take on the Chicago Bears. This was a game of two teams headed in very different directions.

The Vikings were hoping for a win and a San Francisco loss to jump back into the number two seed in the NFC. Meanwhile, with a Bears loss and a Texans win, Chicago would own the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

A 29-13 win over the Bears felt nice after so many close, stressful Minnesota games. Still, this contest had more of a preseason feel with many backups seeing playing time by both teams over the course of the game.

Minnesota may be Locked into the third seed in the NFC and the Bears hold the No. 1 overall selection in the 2023 NFL Draft, but the Minnesota Vikings and their fans could have learned a lot from this game heading into the playoffs.
