A surprising player Minnesota MUST re-sign
Finding quality cornerbacks can be a huge challenge that costs teams many draft picks and huge amounts of salary cap to get comfortable. The Minnesota Vikings will be looking to solidify their group this offseason.
One player who has been earning his keep on the roster is former Bears defensive back Duke Shelley. Shelly fits in well with what the Vikings want to do and would be a valuable asset moving forward.
Health struggles and inconsistency forced him into the lineup and he immediately got to the task at hand. He’s not afraid of being physical but has made impressive finesse plays as well to show off how balanced he can be.
Duke Shelly seems to like it with Minnesota and they could use him so there should be enough mutual interest to at least start communications about a contract when the season is officially over.
