Daniel Jones will commit at least two turnovers
A lot has been said about the Vikings’ defense, and rightfully so. Minnesota finished the regular season 29th in points allowed and 31st in yards allowed, but the one area where they have excelled is creating turnovers. The Vikings rank 10th with 25 takeaways this season and 15 interceptions, but it’s been more impressive as to when those takeaways have taken place.
In the previous meeting with the Giants that included a fumble by Daniel Bellinger on a drive into Minnesota territory and a fourth-quarter interception by Jones that the Vikings failed to capitalize on.
Jones is enjoying the best season of his career, but nobody should confuse him for Dan Marino. This is a quarterback who led the league with a 1.1 percent interception rate, but he’s also committed 76 total turnovers during his four-year career. If the Vikings were wise, they would find a way to get pressure on Jones, who will likely cough up the football at some point.
It happened in the last meeting, and it could happen again on Sunday.
