Minnesota will advance to the Divisional Round

The Vikings have been dismissed by the national media because of their tendency to play one-possession games. While the Vikings have been in nail-biters every single week, the Giants have been in a whopping 13 one-possession games, which is the most in the NFL.

Maybe it’s because the Giants don’t have a couple of random blowouts mixed in. Maybe it’s because they’re on the East Coast. Whatever it is, people believe that the Giants should win this game even in the hostile environment of U.S. Bank Stadium.

But the thing about the Vikings is that they’re not just a lucky team. They’re a good team.

The Vikings’ offense ranked seventh in points scored and seventh in total yards this season. Even with a banged-up offensive line and an aggressive defense, the Vikings should be able to move the ball against the Giants.

If the Vikings can force the Giants, who rank 15th in points scored and 18th in total offense, to keep up, they should be able to win this game and punch their ticket to the divisional round.

Prediction: Vikings win 23-17
