The Minnesota Vikings have been to the playoffs many times, and many of those appearances have ended in heartbreaking defeats. What are three we don’t want to live through again?

The NFL Playoffs are here and the Minnesota Vikings are part of the dance for the first time since 2019. The Vikings have had quite an exciting season finishing 13-4 and winning games in very unconventional ways.

While the road to get this far wasn’t the well-traveled one, the fact is that Minnesota is one of 14 teams in a position to win it all. We’ve seen the Vikings get this far many times before, but no one has seen them reach a Super Bowl unless that person is in their late 50s or older.

This year could be that year, and Minnesota fans across the world would rejoice. While Vikings fans are hoping for that outcome, they also have a small sense of dread lingering in the backs of their minds and hearts.

Minnesota has had more than their fair share of soul-crushing defeats in January. These aren’t just losses, but games where it appears the Vikings are going to win and then have the wind sucked out of them with a defeat that doesn’t just break the heart, but flat-out stomps it.

While the Super Bowl is the dream, here are three playoff endings we really hope Minnesota avoids this year.
