Chandon Sullivan – CB

Chandon Sullivan was brought in to be Minnesota’s nickel cornerback for the 2022 season. Lining up in the slot as a defender is one of the toughest jobs in the NFL, but Sullivan made it look even harder.

The veteran defensive back’s defensive grade from PFF this season ranked 94th among qualifying cornerbacks. Sullivan only had three pass breakups in 2022 and opposing quarterbacks had a passer rating of 108.5 when throwing in his direction.

Since he only signed a one-year deal with the Vikings last offseason, he is currently scheduled to become a free agent in March. There is no reason for Minnesota to bring him back for the 2023 season.

Jalen Reagor – WR/PR

The Vikings trading for Jalen Reagor right before the beginning of the 2022 regular season was certainly a move that most of the team’s fans didn’t see coming.

Reagor, a former 2020 first-round draft pick, was turning into a bust with the Philadelphia Eagles, and Minnesota apparently thought a change of scenery might bring out the best in him. Turns out, the Vikings were wrong.

Reagor was incredibly unreliable whenever he was given offensive snaps during the 2022 season and his 6.4 yards per punt return ranked 16th in the NFL.

He’s still scheduled to be under contract with Minnesota in 2023, but moving on from him this offseason should be a pretty easy decision to make.
