New York Giants

When it comes to teams around the NFL that will need wide receivers in 2023, the Giants will be at the top of the list.

New York’s three leading receivers from 2022, Richie James, Darius Slayton, and Isaiah Hodgins, are all free agents this year. The Giants should have enough money to bring back all three if they want (estimated to have over $54 million in cap space in 2023), but it seems likely that at least one of them will end up with another team this offseason.

New York is projected to have 11 selections in the 2023 NFL Draft. Combine this with their projected cap space this year and they are one of the few teams around the league that could potentially afford to make a trade with the Vikings for Adam Thielen.

Are the Giants going to fork over a massive amount of assets to acquire Thielen? No, that seems highly unlikely. But if New York is willing to offer a seventh-round pick or a conditional sixth-round pick for the 32-year-old receiver, that’s a deal that Minnesota should consider taking.
