4 teams that might want to acquire Adam Thielen in 2023

Some might think the Patriots wouldn’t be interested in Adam Thielen due to some of the interactions we’ve seen the wide receiver have with Bill Belichick during the last few seasons. But Belichick is actually a big fan of Thielen’s.

Back in 2018, the legendary New England head coach had nothing but nice things to say about the Vikings receiver.

"“I have a lot of respect for Thielen. He’s a great player. I have a lot of respect for him, the way he plays the game, and what he’s accomplished.”"

Four wide receivers are currently scheduled to hit free agency this offseason for the Patriots, including Nelson Agholor and Jakobi Meyers. So New England is going to be looking to add some more pass-catchers to their roster this year.

In the past, Belichick liked to take a chance on a guy who appeared to be heading into the final stretch of his NFL career. Might he want to do the same thing with Thielen?

The Patriots probably wouldn’t trade for the Minnesota receiver, so they would have to wait for him to be released. But if the Vikings actually do end up moving on from Thielen, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if New England was among the teams that were interested in signing the two-time Pro Bowler.
