The most changes the Minnesota Vikings make this offseason will likely be on the defensive side of the ball. After ranking 31 out of the 32 possible teams in terms of overall defense, it would be surprising if things stayed the same.

Last offseason, Chandon Sullivan was brought in from the Green Bay Packers to take over as a nickel/slot corner for Minnesota. he had career-highs with seven pass defenses and 60 combined tackles but still seemed to be a liability in coverage at times.

Sullivan’s one-year deal worth $1,750,000 has expired and he now becomes a free agent. Since so many teams have so much more salary cap available to spend, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him land with another team that is able to pay him more.

He won’t likely be a priority free agent for the Vikings, but bringing him back wouldn’t be terrible. Of course, that would also depend on how he fits into the plans of the new defensive coordinator when they hire one.
