Jalen Reagor, wide receiver/punt return

The idea of bringing Jalen Reagor to the Minnesota Vikings might have been better than actually trading for him. He was exchanged for a seventh-round pick in 2023 and a conditional pick in 2024.

Reagor was immediately plugged into the role as the team’s punt return specialist while they searched for ways to use his speed on offense. There is definitely some potential in the 24-year-old receiver, but realizing it could be difficult.

Inconsistent hands and limited targets kept Reagor from being a valuable asset on offense or special teams. He was 16th average yards per punt return with 6.4 and average receiving yards per game with 13.

It wouldn’t take too much to improve at punt return or wide receiver but Reagor’s youth and potential may be enough to keep him with Minnesota. Reagor would hold a cap hit of $2,419,638 in 2023  if he is on the roster.
