Grading the Minnesota Vikings 2022 rookie class after year one
By Nik Edlund
Sixth-Round Pick No. 2
Jalen Nailor – WR
Rookie Stats:
- 15 games played
- 9 catches, 179 yards
- 1 touchdown
Like the majority of the Vikings rookie class, Jalen Nailor‘s biggest impact was on special teams. He did see a few looks on offense and was able to haul in nine balls for 179 yards.
Nailor had one long touchdown in the embarrassing Week 17 loss at Lambeau Field, and he also fared well when he was given an increased role against the Chicago Bears in Week 18.
Nailor showed enough this season to at least get a shot to ascend the depth chart in camp. He will be battling Jalen Reagor and potentially a rookie for the third receiver spot, and while he still may be a long shot, the fact he worked himself into this position is a win in itself.

Seventh-Round Pick
Nick Muse – TE
Rookie Stats:
- 10 games played
Nick Muse was basically just a special teamer this season. That wasn’t unexpected as he was buried on the tight end depth chart, and when he had a chance to ascend it, the team went and traded for T.J. Hockenson, knocking him back to the practice squad.
He was signed to a futures contract after the 2022 seasons, so his role could increase in 2023. At this point, he will be known mostly for his goofy college picture, where he is posing with his midriff exposed.
