The Minnesota Vikings should be embarking on a rebuild but after a 13-win season, who are some names that could be brought back?

There are several directions the Minnesota Vikings could go this offseason, but it’s clear they need to change things up to stay competitive in the NFC.

The Vikings have already started retooling by firing defensive coordinator Ed Donatell and several fan favorites could be sent packing in the coming months. But for those expecting a full-blown rebuild, there are several obstacles to turning Minnesota into a real-life Madden franchise.

The biggest one is the success from last season. A 13-win season could suggest that the Vikings are closer than they are to being a Super Bowl team.

Ownership put their foot down last year, demanding the return of several veterans and while some of those players should be shed for younger, faster replacements, others could find their way back to Minnesota next season.

If the Vikings want to run it back, who are some players that could stay? And who are some impending free agents that could be brought back next year? In this article, we’ll list five veterans on the bubble who should stick around if Minnesota has its eyes set on competing in the NFC in 2023.
