After a brief stint in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings, former linebacker Tuf Borland has decided to join the coaching staff at the University of Wisconsin.

Despite not being selected in by any team in the 2021 NFL Draft, former Ohio State linebacker Tuf Borland was able to land with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent shortly after the draft.

Less than two years later, it appears that Borland is already shifted his focus to the next part of his life as it was recently revealed that he has joined the University of Wisconsin’s football coaching staff as a defensive graduate assistant.

Even though he performed well enough during his college career at Ohio State, unfortunately Borland wasn’t able to do enough during his tenure with the Vikings in 2021 to continue his tenure in the NFL.

The former Ohio State linebacker appeared in a total of two games during the 2021 campaign with Minnesota, with all 19 of his snaps coming on special teams. Borland was released last May when the Vikings needed to make room on their roster in order to sign rookie linebacker William Kwenkeu.

Perhaps he could return to the playing field in the future, but for now, Borland will be doing what he can to help the University of Wisconsin football team and head coach Luke Fickell get back to being one of the top teams in the Big Ten Conference.
