Encouraging video from Lewis Cine should excite Vikings fans

Minnesota Vikings safety Lewis Cine shared a few clips of his injury recovery progress on Monday that should pump up the fan base.

During his rookie season with the Minnesota Vikings in 2022, things really couldn’t have gone much poorly for safety Lewis Cine.

Despite being the Vikings’ top selection in the 2022 NFL Draft, Cine wasn’t able to earn a starting spot on the team’s defense before the start of the regular season. Then, just a few weeks into the 2022 campaign, the rookie safety wound up suffering a gruesome lower leg injury that forced him to miss the remainder of Minnesota’s season.

On Monday, Cine shared a few video clips of his rehab process on his Twitter account. It looks like he’s already close to being fully recovered and on track to return to the field with the Vikings for the 2023 season.

With multiple changes expected to take place on the defensive side of the ball for Minnesota in 2023, especially with the hiring of Brian Flores as the team’s new defensive coordinator on Monday, Cine could be in line for a bigger role next season.

Honestly, any role with the Vikings in 2023 would be a positive sign for the young safety, as he’ll be looking to prove why the team used a first-round pick on him in 2022.
