Cornerback will be another big need for the Vikings by the time the draft rolls around. They have Cameron Dantzler coming back, along with Andrew Booth Jr., and Akayleb Evans. Those are all young players who have trouble staying on the field for health reasons.

They need more depth and talent in their cornerback room and will definitely look to the draft to address it. A player who has to be moving up their draft board is South Carolina’s, Darius Rush.

Rush is a 5-foot-11 corner who weighs 196 pounds and the name of his game is aggression. He loves coming up to hit a ball carrier or coming in off the edge on a blitz to smack the quarterback.

Those traits were all on display at the Senior Bowl. He was locking down receivers all week long, snatched a couple of interceptions, and was named CB Practice Player of the Week on the American team.

If the Vikings don’t take a cornerback in the first round, there’s a very strong chance it’ll be their next choice. Rush is a guy who will now be in the third or fourth-round mix, and would be a great value at that point.
