While we’re seeing plenty of changes on the Minnesota Vikings coaching staff, don’t forget that there are plenty of exciting additions coming for the roster as well. Obviously, the 2023 NFL Draft is going to be massive for the Vikes, as there’s a lot of pressure on the front office to get things right with the No. 23 overall pick.

So, who could Minnesota end up going with in the first round? CBS Sports just dropped its new NFL Mock Draft, and they like Georgia cornerback Kelee Ringo getting his name called when the Vikings are on the clock. How would fans feel about this selection?

Georgia CB Kelee Ringo has first-round pick written all over him

"“The Georgia-to-first-round pipeline continues,” CBS’ Ryan Wilson wrote. “A year after five Bulldogs went in Round 1, expect a handful this time around too. Ringo is a long, physical corner who has matched up against some of the best players in the country.”"

Ringo just helped the Bulldogs win the National Championship this winter, the team’s second straight College Football Playoff title. A 6-2, 205-pounder, Ringo has recorded back-to-back strong seasons for UGA and pro scouts love his potential. Hey, his size alone for a defensive back is great to see.

In 2022, Ringo posted 42 total tackles and two interceptions. It goes without saying, but the Minnesota secondary is in need of some serious help. NY Giants quarterback Daniel Jones had a field day against the Minnesota defense in the Wild Card Round, which is unacceptable.

With Brian Flores in as the new defensive coordinator, adding a young talent like Ringo would surely bring a smile to his face. The Georgia DB won’t fix this defense’s problems alone, but he would have fans fired up for the future of this team. If Ringo is still available by the time the Vikings are set to send in their pick, he’ll surely be a name to watch.
