Justin Jefferson already getting stupidly disrespected this offseason

Despite his domination in 2022, Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings apparently still is not the best receiver in the NFL according to PFF.

During the 2022 season, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson led the league in catches and receiving yards on his way to being named the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year.

Despite his enormous success during the 2022 campaign, there are still some out there that believe Jefferson isn’t currently the best wide receiver in the NFL.

Add PFF’s Sam Monson to this list of non-believers as he recently ranked Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill above Jefferson on his list of the top 101 NFL players from the 2022 season.

In what world did Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill have a better 2022 season than Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson?

Overall, Monson has Hill in the No. 7 spot and Jefferson in the No. 8 spot on his top 101 ranking. So why does he have the Dolphins receiver ranked ahead of the 2022 Offensive Player of the Year?

It seems like Monson based his ranking on the number of explosive plays made by each player during the 2022 season.

"“[Hill] led the league in yards per route run  (3.07) by more than half a yard, and his 48 explosive plays as a pass-catcher were one more than Justin Jefferson in second place. There was very little to separate Hill and Jefferson, who had just one fewer explosive play than the Miami speedster.”"

Perhaps this would be fine to use as something in an argument if the margin of explosive plays between the two receivers was more than one. But because Hill literally had one more explosive play than Jefferson in 2022, he gets the edge? Really?

Monson likely based his decision on more than just explosive plays (hopefully), but his explanations don’t really make it seem that way.

It’s unclear what Jefferson has to do in a Vikings uniform in order to be viewed as the best wide receiver in the NFL by PFF because dominating the league in 2022 obviously wasn’t enough.
