Linval Joseph – DT

Linval Joseph may be an old man, but the Vikings made a mistake when they let him go a few years ago and could look to right that wrong by bringing him back in free agency for one last hurrah.

Joseph was a beast for the Vikings for six seasons. The team decided to go young in 2020 with Michael Pierce and let Joseph go. Pierce ended up flopping with the team, and Joseph continued playing at a high level racking up 62 tackles in 2020 for the Chargers and following that up with 57 in 2021.

Joseph signed with the Eagles late in the 2022 season and ended up starting eight games. He had 20 tackles and half a sack, showing that at age 34, he still has plenty in the tank.

Joseph may not be able to provide the interior pressure he once did, but he can still eat up blockers and clog running lanes. The Vikings were not very good in this area a season ago and could look to squeeze one more season out of the big man to help add some talent and depth to a front line that is lacking in both.
