When talking about spending money and salary cap on the future of the Minnesota Vikings, there is one area where the team absolutely cannot decide to try to be frugal and that is when it comes to Justin Jefferson.
Heading into the final year of his rookie contract, now is when Adofo-Mensah needs to start figuring out what it will take to lock their dynamic, young star down for multiple years while still being able to manage to surround him with talent.
It hasn’t taken long for Jefferson to become the face of the franchise. His big plays and production have football fans all around the world recognizing him and causing them to pay attention to the Vikings.
Picturing the Vikings’ offense without Jefferson is torture and expecting the team’s offense not to significantly drop off without him would be foolish. At this point, the only real question is how much it will cost to extend him.
