Eric Kendricks shares his goodbye message to the Vikings

After getting released by the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, veteran linebacker Eric Kendricks shared his feelings on Tuesday with a post on Instagram.

Mondays are typically unenjoyable for most people, but this most recent Monday was extra difficult for Minnesota Vikings fans after the team decided to release longtime linebacker Eric Kendricks.

Given Kendricks‘ cost and his recent decline in performance, it was a move that the Vikings felt they needed to make. But it didn’t make it any easier for fans of the team to see one of their favorite defenders be shown the door.

Following his departure from the team that drafted him back in 2015, the veteran linebacker shared a post on his Instagram account to let his feelings about the move be known.

Kendricks understands the nature of the NFL and how brutal of a business it can be. But even if he knew the end of his time with the Vikings was near, it clearly didn’t make it any easier for him to handle Monday’s decision.

At 31-years-old, Kendricks should still be able to land with another team in the league for the 2023 season. But unfortunately, his NFL career won’t be continuing in a purple and gold jersey.
