Max Duggan – QB (TCU)

Max Duggan is a fairly big-named quarterback who some think has a chance to develop into a starter down the road or, at worst, a long-term backup in the league. His performance at the Combine didn’t show that at all, as he really struggled to throw the ball.

Before we get to his poor throwing performance, Duggan first disappointed when he was measured. He came in shorter than his listed 6-foot-2. In testing, he didn’t jump very well but ran a faster 40-yard dash than most were expecting at a fairly blazing 4.52. So he started off hit or miss, but the rails came off when he had to throw.

Duggan showed poor mechanics and was sailing the ball all over the place. His arm strength looked average at best, and he just couldn’t get into any sort of a rhythm. Duggan now appears to be a late-round option at best, and he could even end up going undrafted.

A good pro day in a controlled environment with receivers he is familiar with could help, but teams will have a hard time forgetting this pretty awful and disappointing showing by Duggan at the Combine.
