The Minnesota Vikings need to add some more beef to their defensive line in 2023. Who are seven options in free agency?

The Minnesota Vikings defense was awful a season ago. They lived and died with a bend and don’t break mentality, often giving up nearly 400 yards per game to even the most mundane quarterbacks.

It was the major reason they were ousted from the playoffs in the Wild Card round, and the Vikings will have to find starters and upgrade the depth in free agency. The defense really needs help on every single level.

The team doesn’t have the cap space to go out and upgrade every position in free agency, so they’ll have to be selective and then use most of their draft picks to help improve this defense.

They could use a veteran cornerback and also need to find a veteran on the defensive line. With Flores in town, they’ll stick with that base 3-4 look and should focus on adding a five-technique defensive end or even two. A player who can generate some pass rush while also stopping the run would be ideal.

Here are seven defensive linemen the Vikings could sign when free agency kicks off this week.
