Rasheem Green

2022 Team: Houston Texans

Rasheem Green is an interesting free agent and one who could be a sneaky, solid signing. Green started his career in Seattle, where he was a third-round pick back in 2018. He spent four seasons there, really not doing much until his final season when they put him at outside linebacker, and he was able to rack up 48 tackles, six tackles for a loss, and 6.5 sacks.

He went to Houston last season and played with his hand in the dirt again. Despite going back to his old ways, his solid play continued, and he had 42 tackles, three and a half sacks, and five tackles for a loss.

Seeing that Green has played all over the front seven makes him sound like a Brian Flores guy. Flores made it a point in his introductory press conference to express how he loves versatile players. Green definitely fits that mold and would be a piece Flores can move all around the defensive front.

There are bigger names out there, but Rasheem Green is an interesting name to watch. He’s had two productive seasons in a row, will be relatively cheap, and is still only 25 years old.
