Kentavius Street

2022 Team: New Orleans Saints

Kentavius Street is probably the least known name on this list, but he could be a guy who the Vikings target as a value free-agent signing and one who shockingly carves out an important role on their defense in 2023.

Street entered the league in 2018 as a fourth-round pick of the 49ers. He barely saw the field during his first two seasons in San Francisco but finally made an impact in year three. That season he had three sacks and 27 tackles, with six of those going for a loss.

He signed with New Orleans last year and had his best season yet. He accumulated three and a half sacks with 29 total tackles and five for a loss. It seems like the light may just starting to be coming on for this guy who is still pretty young at 26 years old.

Street has only started four games in his career, so his role would be as a high-end backup who provides depth and likely sees a handful of snaps a game. Vikings’ general manager Kwesi Adofo Mensah was in San Francisco at the same time as Street, so there is some familiarity there.

Every season the Vikings sign a free agent or two who isn’t a household name, and Street is a strong bet to be that guy this year.
