Kyle Rudolph, tight end

At one time, it felt like Kyle Rudolph would be a member of the Minnesota Vikings for his entire career. However, a big contract made the tight end a salary cap casualty following the 2020 NFL season.

Rudolph was a second-round pick of the Vikings in 2011 and played with the purple and gold for ten seasons. He was then signed by the New York Giants and struggled to stay healthy in 2021 before being signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 2022.

After catching 453 passes in Minnesota, Rudolph only had 29 catches in the last two seasons for a total of 285 yards, making many fans wonder if the 33-year-old is reaching the twilight of his career.

Teams interested in Rudolph would likely be looking for an experienced player with a big catch radius to be a red-zone threat. His days as a starter are probably over, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t have a role in a struggling offense in 2023.
