Vikings 7-round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Dalvin Cook traded and replaced
By Adam Patrick
Sixth Round (Pick No. 184)
Clayton Tune – QB (Houston)
Some might have been hoping for the Vikings to pick a quarterback on Day 1 or Day 2 of the draft, but getting Clayton Tune on Day 3 would be a nice consolation prize.
At 13 games with Houston in 2022, Tune completed 67.1 percent of his passes for 4,065 yards, 40 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Tune can clearly chuck the football around, but can he do it at the NFL level as well?
Sixth Round (Pick No. 211)
Jake Moody – K (Michigan)
A kicker? Yes, a kicker.
Minnesota did re-sign Greg Joseph earlier this offseason, but they only gave him a one-year deal worth $2 million. So there are still plenty of reasons for the Vikings to bring someone in to compete for Joseph’s job by the start of training camp this summer.
Jake Moody is arguably the best kicker available in this year’s draft pool, and he’s worth Minnesota taking a chance on with their final pick in the draft.
