ESPN’s Todd McShay is the latest draft analyst to predict that the Minnesota Vikings will select Hendon Hooker in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

For the last few weeks, there has been a connection made between the Minnesota Vikings and former Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker.

Hooker has been the Vikings’ first-round selection in a number of recent mock drafts from some of the most notable analysts that cover the NFL Draft. ESPN’s Todd McShay joined the party on Tuesday with his latest mock draft.

Is it more than speculation when it comes to Hendon Hooker and the Minnesota Vikings?

Following the release of his latest mock draft, McShay has joined The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman and NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah in predicting Hooker to land with Minnesota in the first round of this year’s draft.

These aren’t just random people sharing their mock drafts. Most of the predictions from guys like McShay, Feldman, and Jeremiah are based on what they’ve been hearing from teams and other sources around the league.

So the fact that the Vikings were selected as the landing spot for Hooker by these three draft analysts is certainly significant.

Will they end up being right in a few weeks when Minnesota makes their first pick of the 2023 NFL Draft? Or will all of this turn out to be just a classic smokescreen created by the Vikings?
