Dalvin Cook – RB

His situation is a bit more complicated, but like Za’Darius Smith, most expect the Vikings to move on from running back Dalvin Cook in the near future. Cook’s departure could depend on what Minnesota does in this year’s NFL Draft, but it’s likely that the team is just going to move on him regardless.

If the Vikings actually do end up parting with Cook this offseason, they’ll be left with Alexander Mattison, Ty Chandler, and Kene Nwangwu as the members of their offensive backfield. That’s not exactly a trio that strikes fear into an opponent, so Minnesota would probably look to add another running back in this year’s NFL Draft.

Would the Vikings use their first-round pick on a new running back? Probably not, but it wouldn’t be shocking if they came away with a new back in either the second or third round of this year’s draft.
