Former NFL player and current Chicago Bears analyst Clay Harbor does not believe Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings is a top-10 quarterback in the NFC.
There have been plenty of outrageous takes about Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins over the years. But a recent one from Chicago Bears analyst Clay Harbor in which he doesn’t believe Cousins will be a top-10 quarterback in the NFC next season is flat-out delusional.
Clay Harbor blinded by his Chicago Bears goggles when analyzing Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins
Harbor, who analyzes the Bears for NBC Sports Chicago, seriously believes there will be 10 quarterbacks in the NFC that will perform better than Cousins in 2023. That’s a take that even Skip Bayless would think is a bit far-fetched.
It’s fine not to think that Cousins is not a top-10 quarterback in the entire NFL. But even the biggest haters of the Vikings signal-caller know that he deserves to rank among the 10 best quarterbacks in the NFC heading into the 2023 season.
But according to Harbor, an unproven quarterback coming off of elbow surgery, an underachieving signal-caller who hasn’t thrown for more than 15 touchdowns in his last three seasons, a stubborn passer coming off of a torn ACL, and an unknown quarterback in Green Bay will all be better than Cousins in 2023.
Did Kevin O’Connell resign as Minnesota’s head coach? Did Justin Jefferson suddenly retire? Did T.J. Hockenson get traded again? No, so how is Cousins going to suddenly fall flat on his face in 2023?
This is just an all-time terrible take and there’s really no other way to describe it.
