WR Quentin Johnston

Of all the prospects on this list, Johnston is the most likely to be available when the Minnesota Vikings go on the clock. It’s kind of amazing saying that now, as back in January he was widely considered to be the best receiver in the draft and a surefire lock to be the first one selected.

While that could still happen, concerns about Johnston’s game have emerged. There are questions about his route-running ability, his hands, and his inability to create separation from press coverage. There’s also some griping about the fact he only caught six touchdown passes last season.

Those are his negatives, but he has plenty of positives. He’s got great size at 6’3 and long arms to create a huge catch radius. He’s plenty fast and also is a freak after the catch with his ability to make defenders miss and twist and fight through tackles.

Johnston would be a fine compliment to Justin Jefferson and a great choice for the Vikings at pick 23 if he actually slides down the board that far.
