The Minnesota Vikings were not afraid to trade picks in last year’s NFL Draft but which players could be involved in a trade during this year’s draft?
If we learned one thing about the Minnesota Vikings under Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, it’s that they’re not afraid to make trades during the NFL Draft.
The Vikings shocked everyone when they traded from the 12th overall pick to the 32nd overall pick in last year’s draft and did it again when they traded down from the 34th overall selection to pick up two more picks in the second round.
While the front office may have been paying homage to former general manager Rick Spielman, it also was out of the box considering both trades were made with a pair of divisional rivals – the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers.
Entering his second draft, Adofo-Mensah may be looking to deal again. But this year’s draft has a different objective.
With just five selections in this year’s draft, Adofo-Mensah may not be able to deal up and down the board as he did last year. Because of that, the Minnesota Vikings could be looking to deal with some of the players on the roster who carry hefty salaries or no longer fit in Minnesota’s timeline.
In this article, we’ll list three players that could be on the block and the likelihood that they’ll be traded during this year’s draft.
