The Minnesota Vikings drafting an Ole Miss receiver? What could possibly go wrong? In the instance of Jonathan Mingo, he would almost certainly not be the selection for Minnesota in the first round, and projects to be a 3rd or 4th round player. If Minnesota looks to build their receiving core later in the draft, Mingo might just be their man.

Over the past few weeks, people have begun mocking Jonathan Mingo to the Minnesota Vikings. The team has met with the Ole Miss product, now only time will tell if he lands in Minnesota. Mingo has the physical traits to be something special in the NFL, but his lack of consistent production along with injury issues are big red flags in his draft profile.

Ole Miss has a trend lately of producing uber-athletic NFL stud receivers in the shape of DK Metcalf and AJ Brown, and while Mingo is much less polished than those two, he has the traits to be the next in line, and Minnesota would be a perfect place to fix him up.
